School Readiness

First 5 LA's School Readiness creates centers and programs that provide a wide range of services to help children get ready for school and facilitate family and community support for these efforts.

First 5 LA Parent Helpline

First 5 LA Parent Helpline provides information, support, and assistance to expectant parents and parents/caregivers of children up to age 5 in L.A. County.

 


 

Family Literacy

The First 5 LA Family Literacy program involves a family-focused service approach that centers on adult and early childhood education and the development of parenting skills.

 


 

Workforce Development

First 5 LA Workforce Development program supports providers and teachers by helping them achieve their professional goals.

 


 

Universal Preschool

Los Angeles Universal Preschool (LAUP) was established by the First 5 LA Commission to establish preschool services for four-year-old children and their families throughout the County.

 


 

Best Start

Best Start LA addresses the most critical developmental period of life: 0-3. Primary relationships are the foundation of overall development and school readiness in children.
