Identifying & Supporting Children with Prenatal Alcohol Exposure

CCRC is offering Identifying & Supporting Children with Prenatal Alcohol Exposure! We will explore misconceptions about alcohol use during pregnancy, screening and assessment for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and how alcohol use affects children's learning and behavior.
At this training you will learn:
  • How to recognize Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
  • Benefits of early identification
  • Practical and effective early intervention strategies
  • Resources to support children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders

Instructors Blair Paley and Jolie Delja will be presenting this workshop. Blair is a Clinical Professor and licensed clinical psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry at UCLA. She is the Principal Investigator and Director of the SEEDS (Strategies for Enhancing Early Development Success) Program. Jolie Delja is a maternal child health specialist and Program Director for the SEEDS Program. She provides training on the evaluation and treatment of FASD to professionals and parents.
