Healthy Smiles and Ready. Set. Grow!
As part of our Ready, Set, Grow! program, First 5 LA issues regular "Family Guides" — a newspaper booklet with discount coupons, resources for parents and fun activities for kids — and maintains an updated Web site featuring current topics for families.
In honor of National Children's Dental Health Month, the most recent family guide and a section of the Web site features tips on how to keep children's teeth healthy and special tips for moms-to-be. The Healthy Smiles issue of the family guide has been distributed throughout the county in partnership with grantee sites and partner organizations, and the Web site is accessible to anyone.
If you have not already, I encourage you to go to the Ready. Set. Grow! Web site and see what is available for parents and families. Also, take the "Tiny Tooth Quiz" and see how much you know about children's oral health. Click here to go directly to the quiz. To find out how to receive the Family Guides or to inquire about the Ready. Set. Grow! program call Larry Renick, Marketing Manager, at (213) 482-7548.
