Dr. Carol Sigala is currently a professor of Child Development at Rio Hondo College and a grant consultant for LACCD. Carol holds her Ph.D. in Public Administration with a focus in Urban Planning from the University of Southern California, an M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks and an MSW in Social Work from the University of Southern California and her bachelor’s degree from UCLA.

She is an executive consultant and project leader in strategic planning and project development with over 30 years of experience in her fields. She has experience working with clients in numerous industries, including educational institutions (both higher Ed, preschools, Pre-K-12 institutions), local government, entertainment, foundations and non-profit agencies. She has significant experience in presenting at industry conferences, workshops and seminars. Dr. Sigala has led the design, development and delivery of multi-dimensional cross-functional solutions to clients, bringing together Strategy, Business Process Design, Organizational Design, Change Management, Diversity and Inclusion training and Early Childhood Educational environments.

Prior to forming Sigala and Associates, she was a grant writer, evaluator and program manager of a variety of grants, including funding from AACC, the Kellogg Foundation, AmeriCorps, California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office and the California Child Development Training Consortium. She is currently a professor of Child Development at Rio Hondo College, and has serve as consultant for LACCD. She received the California Vision Award from the State of California and the American Association of Community award for exemplary practices.
