Jasmine Frost is the Director of First 5 LA’s Information Technology (IT) Department, leading the development and implementation of a strategic IT vision as well as the organization’s adoption, deployment and use of technology solutions to advance First 5 LA’s work that enables the agency to achieve its priorities and commitments for all children ages 0-5 in Los Angeles County.

Jasmine joined the agency in March 2019 and previously held leadership roles across public and private sectors. On the public side she has led the development and implementation of IT strategic plans and enhanced security architectures; established governance structures for the coordination and management of IT resources, disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and technology standards and processes including cloud-based solutions; and designed electronic document processes and imaging, as well as overseen the implementation of enterprise-wide IT projects for the Cities of San Carlos, Palo Alto and Long Beach, respectively. Her private sector experiences include the founding of her own IT consultancy and serving as its principal consultant in technology solutions for local government.

In 2015, Jasmine served as President for the Northern Chapter of the Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC) and, today, continues to serve as an Advisory Board Member for Government Technology’s Digital Government Summit. 

Jasmine earned her Bachelor of Business Management from Mumbai University, with a Minor in Accounting.
